Buyer required for a leading worldwide supplier to the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare , Biotech and Chemical markets.

This organisation has experienced huge growth and subsequently is recruiting for a Buyer to support the Senior Buyer.

This opportunity is based in HUDDERSFIELD, meaning the successful Buyer will be easily able to commute from surrounding areas including Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury and Leeds.

Key Responsibilities of the Buyer will include;

• Ensure all raw material and components are bought in a timely and cost-effective manner for capital projects


• Manage all purchase requisitions for Capital equipment and aftermarket, adhering to company financial procedures


• Expedite current purchase orders to ensure deadlines and targets are adhered to


• Maintain the ERP system


• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings through agreements, rebates and discounts


• Track the performance of suppliers against agreed KPI's.


• Support the Senior Buyer to manage consignment stock contracts throughout the business

For the role of Buyer, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who have;

• Previous experience in a Purchasing role in a Engineering or Manufacturing environment


• Experience working with NCR's (non-conforming products)


• A strong understanding of stock control and it's importance

Salary & Benefits;

• Salary £30,000 to £32,000
