Inspect and Test Electrician

Are you a qualified electrician with a 2391 Inspection and Testing certification looking for an exciting opportunity in Peterborough? We are seeking a skilled Inspect and Electrician for Void Properties to join our team.

You will play a key role in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in vacant (void) properties, ensuring they meet safety standards and are ready for new tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive electrical inspections in void properties across Peterborough.


• Carrying out electrical testing and certification, including EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports).


• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in accordance with regulations.


• Installing and testing new electrical systems, including full rewires and upgrades.


• Ensuring all work complies with IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).


• Preparing properties for occupancy through necessary electrical checks and maintenance.


• Liaising with property managers and other trades to expedite property handovers.

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician with relevant City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.


• 2391 Inspection and Testing certification (essential).


• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (desirable).


• Proven experience in electrical inspections and testing (EICR).


• Previous experience in void property work or social housing is advantageous.


• Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel within Peterborough.


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.


• Good communication and time-management skills.

The pay range for the role is £23.99 per hour LTD company rate.

The PAYE equivalent is to £20.45 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
