Adult Social Care Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is currently working on behalf of a dynamic local authority, based in Worcestershire, which needs an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team.

This role can be done on a fully remote basis!


The duration of this contract is on a 3-month rolling basis.

They can pay a competitive rate of £50-£60ph umbrella!


Key Responsibilities of the Adult Social Care Lawyer role



  • Provide legal advice on complex issues related to Adult Social Care.

    This will include all aspects of community care law/adult social care law and to a lesser extent education law (SEN/School queries).

  • You will take up some ongoing caseload and fresh queries in these fields without any specific training.

  • You will be dealing with adult protection/court of protection/mental capacity/mental health, ordinary residence and CHC disputes and Judicial Review claims as well as commencing and running court of protection cases with Counsel as appropriate.


Requirements



  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 3 years of PQE in Adult Social Care law

  • Someone who has worked for a public sector organisation within an Adult Social Care legal team.

  • You must be able to deal with adult protection/court of protection/mental capacity/mental health, ordinary residence and CHC disputes and Judicial Review claims as well as commencing and running court of protection cases with Counsel as appropriate.
