Technical Architect

Technical Architect - Lewisham
Rate: Up to £800 per day
Contract: Initial 3-month contract
Location: Lewisham, London
Service Care Solutions is assisting a local authority in their search for an experienced Technical Architect.

This role involves leading the technology architecture function, managing both cloud and on-premise infrastructure, unified communications, networks, and cyber security, while ensuring alignment with the council's digital strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of secure and scalable technology architecture.


• Oversee infrastructure, end-user compute operations, and technology strategy.


• Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., PSN, ISO27001).


• Provide expert guidance on technical and digital services, ensuring value for money from suppliers.


• Work closely with stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver fit-for-purpose digital solutions.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect in a complex IT environment.


• Strong expertise in cyber security, infrastructure management, and digital transformation.


• Familiarity with ITIL V3/4 frameworks and security standards.


• Experience working within local government or similar public sector organisations is a plus.
