Trade Compliance Officer- Defence

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Compliance Officer- Defence based in West Midlands to join a leading design and manufacturing company specialising in a range of Defence products.

The Trade Compliance Officer- Defence will have responsibility for the following:

- Providing strategic advice to support business planning.

- Preparing and processing applications, expediting approvals.

- Maintaining accurate records, and monitoring compliance deadlines.

- Managing and controlling import and export requirements in daily operations.

- Development, implementation, management and improvement of policies and procedures relating to import / export compliance and ITAR, ensuring business adherence where applicable.

Key skills/experience required:

- Defence industry experience.

- Previous experience in export compliance roles.

- Knowledge and understanding of all core regulations.

- Experienced in working with and implementing ITAR & EAR rules and regulations.

- Experience in working with and implementing UK export controls.

- Awareness and understanding of business agreements/contracts.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction.

Previous UK MoD security clearance is ideal.
