Chef de Cuisine - Upscale French
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
The Client:
I am working with a distinguished restaurant group, renowned for its upscale french cuisine and inviting atmosphere.
We are currently seeking a Chef de Cuisine to join their team.
This role presents a remarkable opportunity to lead the kitchen in a renowned dining establishment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the culinary operations, ensuring guests are provided with an outstanding experience
- Ensure the food is prepared, plated, and served efficiently and to the highest standards
- Recruit a high performing team.
Train staff in proper cooking techniques and adherence to recipes and quality standards - Establish appropriate staffing levels and conduct daily shift briefings with culinary team members
- Manage inventory, labour and food costs
Chef de Cuisine Requirements:
- 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a upscale environment
- Mastery of various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a focus on high-quality, innovative, and seasonal dishes
- Ability to manage kitchen budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability
- Genuine passion for food and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences
