Physiotherapist Locum Band 6

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physiotherapy needs and develop individualised treatment plans.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions to promote physical recovery, improve mobility, and enhance functional independence.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, social workers, and nursing staff, to ensure holistic patient care.

  • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and strategies for improving physical health and well-being.

  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on clinical outcomes and feedback.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with departmental policies and professional standards.

  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives to improve the quality of care.

  • Support and mentor junior staff and therapy students as required.


Qualifications and Experience



  • Degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with HCPC.

  • Significant experience in a clinical physiotherapy setting, preferably within community or integrated care.

  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.

  • Knowledge of relevant policies, best practices, and rehabilitation techniques.
