Are you an aspiring electronics enthusiast eager to kickstart your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are looking for a Junior Test Engineer to join one of our partners based near Wokingham.

 
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in programming PICs/FPGA’s, loading operating systems, and testing electromechanical products to ensure they meet our high standards and customer delivery schedules.

You'll also contribute to improving and writing test specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Test electronic hardware in a low-volume, prototyping manufacturing environment.
- Conduct software and system integration testing.
- Operate an environmental test chamber.
- Collaborate with design engineers to create test procedures.
- Install operating systems (Linux and Windows).
- Diagnose and resolve faults through debugging.
- Ensure all work adheres to quality and technical standards.
- Visit customer sites occasionally to support equipment setup and field service

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

- HNC in electronics (or studying towards).
- Strong ability to write test plans and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable:

- Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience in software testing.
- Understanding of analogue and digital video formats.
