Facade Designer

A Façade (CAD) Designer is required to join a leading contractor specialising in delivering innovative façade solutions based in Northeast London.

Location: Full-time, Office-Based position
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Overall purpose of role:

• Create drawings, using relevant specifications


• Go to site and site office and take surveys, complete photos in order to create drawings


• Liaise with Estimating, at construction stage, Commercial and Site management and other relevant departments throughout the life of the project as required to track design and quality issues.


• Liaise with manufacturers, external structural engineers and architects, as required.

Responsibilities:

• Creation, monitoring and revision of assigned drawings.


• Liaison with manufacturers and project teams including distribution of relevant documentation.


• Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to fix problems.


• Respond to adhoc problems and raise with D&Q manager accordingly.


• Occasionally assist with site inspections to monitor and manage technical quality of works and ensure they are carried out as per specifications and manufacturers recommendations.

Requirements:

• Expert Auto CAD user (3D AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit optional)


• Engineering or Architect related studies or equivalent experience


• Facades experience, EWI, cladding, rainscreen experience is essential
