Lead Manufacturing Engineer

An exciting opportunity at a leading technology solutions provider has hit the market; the company is hiring for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer based in Cheltenham.

The company design and develop traffic detection products ranging from traffic signals, radars, cameras and AI detection systems.

Main responsibilities of the Lead Manufacturing Engineer:

• Line Manager to 3 team members


• Design, build and maintain test rigs & jigs


• Ensure manufacturing of products are done efficiently and effectively


• Test light sensitivity, colour spectrum, and stress testing


• Be responsible for product inception, development and full life cycle


• Provide manufacturing related support


• Health checks to identify any issues that could affect the manufacturing process

Requirements of the Lead Manufacturing Engineer:

• HNC/HND/Degree in an engineering related subject


• Experience in New Product Introductions (NPI)


• Experience in managing engineering teams


• A background in design and/or manufacture of electronics products


• Experience in delivery of lean manufacturing
