Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Functional Skills Tutor at HMP ISIS on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

• Annual Salary: £30,722.74 to £37,059.78 (pro rate for Fixed Term Contract).


• Location: HMP ISIS


• Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract

We are seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join our educational team within offender learning at HMP ISIS.

This role offers the chance to deliver a transformative educational experience, significantly impacting learners' lives and aiding their personal development.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver inspiring lessons in Functional Skills English or Maths, raising learners' expectations and aspirations.


• Tailor both accredited and non-accredited programmes to the needs and interests of the learners.


• Develop personalised learning plans that equip learners with essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours for positive progression.


• Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.


• Assess learners' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE grades 9 to 4, A
  
  * to C, or equivalent).


• Qualification in the specialist subject area of Functional Skills English or Maths.


• Proven effectiveness in teaching within the subject specialism.


• Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent.


• Ability to secure and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
