MEP Project Manager

An MEP Project Manager is required at a well-established Mechanical & Electrical company, to oversee the mechanical and electrical aspects of a high-profile construction project in Southwest London.

Start Date: Mid March (Pre-construction phase for 6 weeks)
Project Duration: 40 weeks
Salary: £75,000 per annum
Working Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Oversee resource management, including labour, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.

  • Enforce health and safety policies, conduct inspections, and provide training to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and address any quality issues promptly.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, providing regular updates.

  • Manage changes in scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring transparency and tracking all modifications.

  • Monitor project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to the budget.

  • Anticipate and resolve project challenges, making timely decisions to keep the project on track.

  • Conduct daily site inspections, update schedules, and lead debrief meetings to address issues and provide direction.

  • Oversee subcontractor packages, manage design elements, and ensure proper documentation and tracking.

  • Attend client and internal meetings, review variation claims, and issue weekly progress reports.


Qualifications and Skills:



  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) required

  • NVQ Level 6

  • Relevant trade qualifications

  • First Aid certification (Preferred)

  • Proven experience in managing large M&E projects with a strong understanding of project life cycles

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and clients effectively.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in construction environments.

  • Ability to manage budgets and track costs accurately.
