Senior Residential Support Worker

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our clients Residential Children's Home based in Southampton

You must have full right to work in the UK to apply for this role.

About the team

Our client, based in the heart of Southampton, operates a 5-bedded EBD children's home that supports young people with learning disabilities, attachment disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, and other related conditions.

The home promotes independence by providing a stable environment, enhancing their skill sets, and encouraging community-based activities, all aimed at helping them overcome mental health challenges and difficult family situations while fostering personal growth and development.

About you

As a Senior Support Worker, you will offer emotional support to young people and assist with daily activities like personal care and getting ready for school.

On weekends, you will be out and about, enjoying activities such as theme parks, bowling, cinemas, and zoos—making work feel more like fun.

While there will be challenges, as these homes support young people with autism, learning difficulties, and mental health needs, the strong relationships, and positive memories you build will be rewarding.

Many of their workers find it fulfilling to see young people overcome obstacles and thrive.

This role also involves supporting the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day-to-day operation of the home.

A level 3 qualification in Children's Residential and Childcare is essential.
