My client is a Local Authority and they are looking for a Housing Advisor based on a permanent full time contract paying £34,000 - £37,000 dependent on experience.

The role is based in Bristol and requires you to be able to commute to Temple St Bristol regularly.

The successful candidate will have

• Some experience within Housing or Homeless Sector


• Experience working with people with challenging behaviour including but not exclusive to homeless, mental health, substance misuse and domestic violence


• Friendly and proactive personality who wants to help


• Strong problem solving skills with an outcomes focused approach

The Housing Advisor's main duties are to :

• To prevent and relieve homeless homlessness within the council


• Assess the level of needs of people who present as homeless and create the correct pathway for them


• Work with the public to support them and explain to them the referral process, if they are eligible and the councils position


• Provide a high level of customer service to all which includes active problem solving issues, providing statutory advice and strive to achieve high housing outcomes
