Engineering Planner
Engineering Planner - Permanent - Hertfordshire
Are you an experienced Engineering Planner looking for your next challenge? A long standing pharmaceutical manufacturing client of ours are seeking a skilled and proactive professional to join their technical Engineering team in a key planning role.
The Role
As an Engineering Planner, you will play a vital part in ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment by planning and scheduling the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, machinery, and utility systems.
Working closely with Maintenance Management, you will help to optimise maintenance programs while minimising production impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of project planning, programming, and progress monitoring
- Support the engineering team in developing and improving preventative maintenance systems
- Coordinate engineering activities and shutdowns with department managers
- Implement and manage Work Order processes, job planning packs, and parts staging
- Allocate tasks and resources while utilising the company's CMMS system
- Monitor PPM workloads to ensure priority completion
- Maintain and evolve preventative maintenance documentation
- Assist in change management and its impact on engineering schedules
- Work with Engineering Stores to create BOM lists for critical equipment and track performance
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and engineering coordination
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance strategies
