Litigation Legal Professional

Service Care Solutions is working alongside growing local authority, based in Bournemouth, which needs a litigation lawyer to join their adult social care legal team.

The focus of the role will be to pursue the recovery of debts owed to the council in respect of care fees.


The role can pay a rate of £25-£55ph umbrella and operate remotely.

The council will consider a paralegal with relevant experience, so the rate offered will be based off of qualification and interview performance.


Responsibilities Of The Litigation Lawyer Role:



  • Play a vital role in supporting the Council's efforts to recover outstanding care fee debts.

  • Pursue debt recovery through litigation, applying a thorough knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.

  • Advising on legal issues relating to the Care Act 2014, including financial assessments and charging for care services.


Key Requirements:



  • Strong knowledge and experience in civil litigation and debt recovery.

  • A good understanding of the Care Act 2014 and its implications for local authority financial assessments.

  • Have the ability to attend court in Bournemouth when required.

  • The council will consider qualified and non-qualified legal professionals as long as they have a strong understanding of debt recovery law.
