Job Title: General Manager

Salary: €5,000 gross/month (flexible based on experience)

Location: Budapest, Hungary

We are seeking a General Manager to lead the opening and daily operations of a new 94-room lifestyle hotel in the heart of Budapest.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and hands-on leader to shape a unique, high-quality hospitality experience in a relaxed yet stylish setting.

• The hotel will feature a spa, cocktail bar, and restaurant, creating a vibrant guest experience.
• No traditional F&B headaches – our expert F&B team will manage the restaurant, breakfast, and room service.
• The spa will operate as a profit-driven business, either through a strategic partnership or with a motivated Spa Manager who shares in the success.
• Our goal is to create a cozy, friendly, and high-quality environment—offering excellent service without excessive formality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful pre-opening and launch of the hotel.
• Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth coordination between departments.
• Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction by fostering a welcoming and personalized experience.
• Build and develop a strong team, inspiring them to deliver outstanding service.
• Work closely with the F&B and spa teams to align operations with business goals.
• Continuously seek innovative ways to enhance guest experience and efficiency.
• Ensure the hotel operates in line with budget and profitability targets.

Who You Are

• Proven experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager in a high-quality or boutique hotel.
• Fluent in English with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Creative and proactive, always looking for ways to improve operations and guest experience.
• A natural people person, able to connect with both guests and staff effortlessly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pre-opening experience in a hotel environment.
• Fluency in Hungarian (advantageous but not required).
• EU passport (preferred for ease of employment, but other options can be considered).
• Open to relocation without family commitments.
