Tuesday to Friday, 4 x 9.25-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 3:45 PM)

Service Care Solutions are seeking a dedicated LGV Waste Collection Driver (Category C) to join our clients Waste Management team.

This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and safe collection of household waste across the borough while supervising waste crews and maintaining high service standards.

LGV Waste Collection Driver Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and drive an LGV waste collection vehicle, ensuring the safe and efficient collection of bins.


• Supervise and support a small team, ensuring daily waste collection tasks are completed effectively.


• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct daily vehicle checks, and report any defects.


• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.


• Engage with members of the public courteously and professionally, addressing minor service requests.


• Use electronic handheld devices to track and report tasks.


• Provide training and guidance to apprentices or new team members when required.

LGV Waste Collection Driver Requirements:

• Valid UK Category C driving licence (LGV)


• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)


• Experience working as a team leader or foreman in a similar environment


• Experience in waste management operations


• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations applicable to waste collection


• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude


• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
