Procurement Manager (2024 30)

The successful Procurement Manager will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager will include:



  • Manage the day-to-day procurement operations ensuring timely, cost-effective and compliant procurement of materials.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Finance and Operations.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a procurement team, ensuring they are supported to meet quality, cost and delivery expectations.

  • Lead the negotiation, drafting and management of contracts

  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop action plans to mitigate their impact on production

  • Develop and manage procurement budgets aiming for cost savings without compromising on quality or delivery



For the Procurement Manager role, we are keen to receive CV's from candidates who possess:



  • Experience as Procurement Manager or similar within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of procurement professionals

  • Experience managing departmental budgets and aligning strategies with wider business objectives

  • Ability to influence others using data or sound reasoning

  • CIPS/MCIPS preferable

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management is advantageous



Salary & Benefits:



  • up to £55,000 depending on experience

  • Flexible working hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays

  • Company pension contributions of up to 8%
