A premier airport hotel in Amsterdam is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance team.

This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with the operations and management teams to enhance guest experiences.
• Manage budgets and cost control for maintenance and energy consumption.
• Lead renovation and technical upgrade projects as required.
• Maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within the hotel industry.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Understanding of fire and life safety standards.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and projects.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve technical challenges efficiently.
• Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
