Management Accountant – Financial Services

About the Role:
As Management Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of the finance function, helping to drive performance through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and meaningful business partnering.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Analyse variances against budget/forecast, offering clear commentary and recommendations
• Monitor costs, identify efficiency opportunities, and support cost-saving initiatives
• Lead elements of budgeting and forecasting alongside department heads
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure financial targets are understood and met
• Present key financial insights to senior management and contribute to strategic decisions
• Support audit processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Assist with ad hoc projects, offering financial expertise across the business

Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified
• Experience in a Management Accountant role, ideally within financial services
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software packages
• Confident communicator, able to simplify complex data for varied audiences
• Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
