I am looking for passionate Support Workers with experience working with Children and/or Young Adults in the care system to join a leading local provider who are established in supporting care leavers in Manchester area.

The Support Worker role is a permanent full time post paying £12.60 per hour with 1 on 3 off shift pattern (10am-10am paid at full £12.60 for 24 hours).

Your OTE per annum is £29,000.

The successful candidate must have

• Experience of working within children or young adults with learning disabilities, mental health, or behaviours that challenge - SEN School, youth work, community young people, children's learning disabilities, semi-independent services, care leavers, youth justice, children's homes


• Ability to complete shifts patterns, weekends, and overnight stays.


• Driver with vehicle


• Positive attitude and energy as you will be influential on young people's mood and outlook

The Support Worker will be work in a house for young people aged 16 and over from a variety of backgrounds including care leaver preparing for adulthood, breakdown of fostering placement, asylum seeking status.

The houses prepare the young people for independence and the ability to learn key life skills.

If you have experience with children and young people in SEN education, youth work, young offenders or fostering, a career in children's homes is for you.
