Quality Team Leader

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £35-38k

Quality Team Leader Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Team Leader to join our team.

The Quality Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the quality inspection processes and supervising the quality team, ensuring high standards are met throughout our operations.

Quality Team Leader Responsibilities:

- Perform quality inspections of components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.

 
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and other technical documents.

 
- Identify and address quality concerns, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and reject processes (internal and external).
- Manage day-to-day workloads and planning for the quality inspection team.
- Supervise and mentor other members of the quality inspection team.
- Manage calibration of inspection equipment.
- Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

Quality Team Leader Requirements:

- Demonstrates a high level of care and attention to detail.

 
- Takes responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work, following processes and procedures.

 
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and other technical documents.

 
- Is highly organised and manages time effectively.

 
- IT literate (competent with Microsoft Office applications).

 
- Experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory or team-leading experience.
