Area General Manager – Hotels, Malaysia

Position Overview

The Area General Manager oversees multiple hotel properties within a designated region, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and adherence to brand standards.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to drive profitability, guest satisfaction, and staff development across all locations.

Key Responsibilities include: Operational Oversight & Multi-property management; Financial Leadership; Staff Development; Sales & Marketing and Guest Experience

Qualifications, Education & Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (MBA preferred).

• 10+ years in hotel operations, including 5+ years as a General Manager
• Work experience in Malaysia is essential for this role
• Proven track record in multi-property management.
• Financial analysis (P&L, budgeting, forecasting).
• Crisis management and decision-making under pressure.
• Cross-cultural communication for diverse teams
