Deputy Manager - EBD Children's Home (IG1)
Salary: £33,280 - £39,520 per annum
Location: IG1, East London
Hours: Full-time, flexible shifts between 8:00-16:00 / 12:00-20:00 (no sleep-ins or waking nights)

We are recruiting on behalf of an established social care provider that specialises in high-quality residential services for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

A vacancy has arisen for a Deputy Manager to join their home in the IG1 area.

The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in leading the team to deliver outstanding care in line with Ofsted requirements.

You will play a key role in staff development, quality assurance, safeguarding, and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Provide leadership that promotes a culture of excellence, safeguarding, and continuous improvement

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Ofsted standards

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in care planning, professional meetings, and staff supervision

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute to training delivery and ongoing staff development

  
  


• 
  

  Promote a positive and nurturing environment that supports the individual needs of each young person

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Level 4 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) - essential

  
  


• 
  

  Working towards or achieved Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care - desirable

  
  


• 
  

  Proven experience in a residential childcare setting

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  
  


• 
  

  In-depth understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory frameworks
