We are currently looking for a Logistics Operative to join an international engineering manufacturer in Halifax area.

Overtime paid at premium rates and genuine training and development opportunities are available to the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities for the Logistics Operative:

• Ensure all warehouse duties are carried out safely and in line with company procedures and health & safety standards.


• Conduct pre-shift safety checks and ensure safe and secure operation of trucks and vehicle areas.


• Receive and dispatch deliveries efficiently and accurately, ensuring correct documentation is maintained.


• Book stock in and out, pick goods accurately, and record movements within the warehouse system.


• Inspect incoming shipments and materials according to company standards.


• Pallet wrapping and label printing

Experience of the Logistics Operative:

• Experience in a warehouse or similar environment.


• Valid forklift/reach truck license (desirable but not essential - training may be provided).


• Good understanding of health and safety practices.


• Flexible and proactive approach to work.


• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.


• Basic computer literacy is an advantage.

What's in return for the Logistics Operative:

• Paying £12.54 per hour


• 38 hours basic and overtime available


• Rotating shift pattern - days, nights, earlies


• Annualised hours will be 12-hour days and nights as and when required


• Ongoing training provided to up-skill further
