Based in HUDDERSFIELD, just 10 minutes from the M62, this business is easily commutable from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham, and Sheffield.

Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:

• Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of machined components using various measuring tools and instruments (including CMM and Faro Arm).


• Raise, investigate, and support with Machining NCRs.


• Accurately maintain and store reports, investigations, and data.

Requirements of the Quality Inspector:

• Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or similar).


• Experience in ISO9001:2015 or equivalent Management systems


• Previous experience in a relevant role, ideally within a heavy engineering environment.

Working Hours for the Quality Inspector: The position involves rotating AM/PM shifts:

• AM Shift: 40 hours per week with an 18% shift allowance.




• Monday to Friday: 06:30 to 14:30




• PM Shift: 34 hours per week with an 18% shift allowance.




• Monday to Thursday: 14:30 to 22:00


• Friday: 14:30 to 18:30

In return, the Quality Inspector will receive:

• Remuneration: £42,574 (£36,080 base + 18% shift allowance)
