Location: East London
Salary: Up to £32,000 plus bonus!  

COREcruitment is working with a hospitality group who are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Assistant General Manager to join a high-energy, high-volume venue based in London City Airport.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, strong leadership, and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential.

As AGM, you’ll support the General Manager in driving operational success, building a strong team, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the GM in all areas of daily operations, stepping in to lead the site in their absence
• Motivate and manage front and back-of-house teams to consistently deliver high service standards
• Uphold operational, health & safety, and brand standards
• Help manage budgets, control costs, and identify ways to increase profitability
• Lead recruitment, training, and development of team members
• Prepare rotas and manage labour within budget
• Maintain a strong floor presence, leading by example during service
• Oversee stock control and supplier management
• Handle guest feedback confidently and professionally

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as an Assistant General Manager or experienced Supervisor in a high-volume hospitality setting
• Strong understanding of P&L, cost control, and labour management
• Passionate about delivering a great guest experience and developing your team
• Confident under pressure with great problem-solving skills
• Flexible and available to work airport shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communicator with solid organisational skills
• Legally eligible to work in the UK
