Full-time - 5 Days/Week - Salary based on experience

Salary Range | M1 Outer London (£36,413) - UPS3 Outer London (£53,994)

Teach Plus are currently working with a 2-form entry, ‘Outstanding' primary school located in Hillingdon, who are seeking a PPA Cover Teacher to join them at the start of the new academic year.

The school implements research-based evidence informed practice, ensuring that all staff members work together to develop practice, resulting in students achieving their full potential.

Regular CPD and INSET days are held to support the development of all staff, encouraging different pedagogical approaches.

They also prioritise the mental health and wellbeing of all staff and pupils through various methods and events within the school.

The PPA Cover Teacher is a full-time ongoing position to start in September 2025, this role can be suitable for an ECT or for experienced teachers, you will be required to cover lessons from Reception - Year 6, be flexible and adaptable.

As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will be required to:

• Teaching classes during PPA or other release sessions across the school from Nursery to Year 6


• Understand and be able to use a range of strategies to deal with classroom behaviour as a whole and also individual behavioural needs; to promote effective behaviour.


• Provide a calm, constructive working environment to enable the pupils to carry out the planned work/activities in the absence of the class teacher.


• Promote the inclusion of all pupils.


• Mark any completed work in accordance with the marking policy.


• Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies within the class, according to the school's policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for the PPA Cover Teacher role will have:

• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum


• Experience teaching in primary schools in the UK


• A flexible, can-do attitude and be able to adapt quickly to new environments


• A strong work ethic who is willing to commit for at least one academic year


• UK recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS


• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service


• Right to work in the UK
