Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop electrical schematics for specialist systems.


• Analyse and improve the performance and reliability of electrical designs.


• Generate and manage technical documentation to support design outputs.


• Specify cables, protective devices, and components in line with project needs.


• Collaborate closely with engineers and project stakeholders.


• Contribute to design reviews and provide technical input across programmes.


• Participate in team meetings and support project delivery across the full lifecycle.

Requirements
Essential:

• Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.


• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards.


• Hands-on experience in selecting and specifying components.


• Familiarity with schematic capture and drawing tools.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.


• Team-focused, adaptable, and proactive approach.


• Must be eligible for UK security clearance (due to defence projects).

Desirable:

• Experience with full system design in a regulated environment.


• Background in electronics and embedded technologies.


• Experience using Zuken E3 or similar design tools.
