Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering and technology company working on next-generation defence and maritime systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop electrical schematics for specialist systems.
- Analyse and improve the performance and reliability of electrical designs.
- Generate and manage technical documentation to support design outputs.
- Specify cables, protective devices, and components in line with project needs.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to design reviews and provide technical input across programmes.
- Participate in team meetings and support project delivery across the full lifecycle.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards.
- Hands-on experience in selecting and specifying components.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and drawing tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Team-focused, adaptable, and proactive approach.
- Must be eligible for UK security clearance (due to defence projects).
Desirable:
- Experience with full system design in a regulated environment.
- Background in electronics and embedded technologies.
- Experience using Zuken E3 or similar design tools.
