Waste Collection Operative

Job Overview:

We are seeking 3 reliable and physically fit Loaders to join a busy environmental services team for a temporary assignment.

The role involves working outdoors as part of a team responsible for the collection of domestic waste, litter, and dog bins using mechanical lifting equipment and manual handling.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Collect and empty domestic wheeled bins, litter bins, and dog waste bins across designated routes.




  • Operate and assist with the use of heavy machinery to empty various bin types.




  • Work as part of a small crew (2-3 people), supporting the driver and fellow loaders.




  • Ensure all waste is collected safely and in line with local procedures and health & safety standards.




  • Report any issues such as missed collections, damaged bins, or contamination.





Requirements:


  • Must be physically fit - this is a manual, outdoor role requiring frequent lifting and walking.




  • Ability to work early morning shifts reliably and consistently.




  • Team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.




  • A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
