Location: Florence, Italy
Salary: €42,000 gross per annum + bonus

This expanding, trendy and modern hotel is looking for a head chef in the beutiful Florence! With 20+ hotels around Europe and plans to continue expanding in the coming years, they are looking for a Head chef who is passionate, creative and who enjoys new challenges.

As a Head chef, you will have a passion for Italian cuisine and will be responsible for a small new project taking place inside of the hotel.

Who are you?

• At least 4+ years of experience as a head chef in hotels or restaurants
• Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
• Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
• Prior experience in fast paced environment
• Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
• Credentials in health and safety training (HACCP)
• Degree in Culinary science or related certificate

What will you do?

• Responsible for the day to day operations in the kitchen
• Hiring and training of new employees
• Purchasing and organizing different events/locations
• Prepare, cook and present high quality dishes to fascinate guests
• Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety
• Prepare dishes based on the menu of the restaurant
• Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified needs
• Apply the HACCP rules at all times in the kitchen
• Proficiency in English and Italian is a must
