About the Role/Setting
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and nurturing early years setting in Harrow.

The setting provides a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for young children, focusing on their social, emotional, and cognitive development through a play-based, child-centred curriculum.

Staff work closely with families to support learning, wellbeing, and confidence, ensuring each child can reach their full potential.

Safeguarding, positive behaviour, and personal development are key priorities, fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning from an early age.


As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional needs, helping to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

This full-time role starting ASAP offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early development.


Job Responsibilities




  • Provide 1:1 and small group support as a SEN Teaching Assistant for pupils with additional learning needs.




  • Assist practitioners in delivering play-based and differentiated learning activities.




  • Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development as a SEN Teaching Assistant.




  • Help implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to track progress.




  • Promote safeguarding, online safety, and personal development within the setting.




  • Work closely with staff and families to ensure consistent support as a SEN Teaching Assistant.




  • Maintain records and provide feedback on pupil development as a SEN Teaching Assistant.




  • Support group activities while providing targeted interventions for children requiring extra support.




  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence as a SEN Teaching Assistant.




  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment, enhancing early learning experiences as a SEN Teaching Assistant.




Qualifications/Experience




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK




  • Previous experience in a similar role as a SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable
