TIG Welder Salary: £32-35k

Are you a TIG Welder who actually enjoys the craft, not just clock-watching? This Dorset-based manufacturer is on the lookout for a TIG Welder to join their small but skilled team.

They’re specialists in high-quality thin gauge stainless steel work, and they’ll back you properly – whether you’re an experienced hand or someone with solid foundations looking to push your skills further.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day

- TIG welding stainless steel from 1mm upwards, keeping things neat and to spec
- Working with both pipe and plate, producing clean welds to a high standard
- Using jigs, fixtures and occasionally a turntable (bonus points if you’ve done this before)
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols without scratching your head
- Pitching in with fabricating tasks where needed, because no two days are the same

TIG Welder: What we’re looking for

- Proven TIG Welder experience, ideally with stainless steel
- Someone who can weld thin gauge and not blow a hole through it
- Confident working from technical drawings
- Flexible with start times – the shop floor often opens early (6 am onwards,) so you’ll need to be comfortable with that
- Positive attitude – they’re far more interested in the right mindset and willingness to learn than in a perfect CV
