Head Chef - Daytime Hours Only

We are currently working with a well-respected café style venue in the Tenterden area.

They are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a well-established café-style venue in the Kent area near Ashford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef who enjoys working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and wants to take ownership of a kitchen team within a friendly and vibrant setting.


The Role

As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Key duties include:


  • Leading, motivating, and managing the kitchen team.
  • Designing and delivering fresh, seasonal menus with local produce.
  • Managing stock, orders, and cost controls within budget.
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Training, developing, and mentoring junior chefs.
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.


Candidate Profile

We’d like to hear from chefs who can demonstrate:


  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef in a similar café/restaurant setting, working with fresh ingredients.
  • A genuine passion for fresh, wholesome food and seasonal cooking.
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Awareness of current food trends and café-style cuisine.
  • Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or above).
