Job description

I am looking for a Residential Support Worker to join a children's residential care service, providing high-quality support for children and young people.

This is a full-time permanent role based in New Milton, with a salary of £25,490 - £30,000.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available for this role and you must hold a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Support the educational, social, emotional, and behavioural development of children and young people.


• Ensuring to help the children with their emotional, physical and developmental needs.


• Display yourself as an appropriate role model.


• Demonstrate a positive attitude, empathy and resilience.


• Encourage positive life experiences for the children.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people - essential.


• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).


• Full, clean UK driving licence - essential.


• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.


• Strong communication, empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills.


• Commitment to supporting and safeguarding young people.

Shifts

• Residential care shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties.
