We are working with a prestigious Private Members’ Club in Mayfair, renowned for its history, tradition, and timeless elegance.

This luxury Club offers its members a home-from-home experience and is now seeking a skilled Sommelier to join their team.

This is a rare opportunity to work in one of London’s most refined hospitality environments, where you will play a key role in curating a world-class wine programme for an exclusive membership.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate and maintain an extensive and diverse wine list tailored to member preferences, seasonal trends, and food pairings.
• Provide expert wine recommendations and personalised guidance to members and guests.
• Oversee wine service, ensuring correct presentation, pouring techniques, and use of glassware.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and update wine and food pairing options.
• Train and educate staff on wine knowledge, service etiquette, and tasting notes.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging regions to keep the wine offering dynamic.
• Support and deliver wine-related events, tastings, and private functions.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations and standards.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Sommelier in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or a private members’ club.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and trends, with excellent food-pairing ability.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport with discerning clientele.
• WSET Level 3 or equivalent wine qualification (preferred).
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Passionate about wine, hospitality, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and Club events as required.
