Portfolio Manager – Private Equity

A leading European private equity partnership is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join its boutique investment and operations team.

The firm invests across Europe in small-to-mid-sized businesses, with a focus on transforming performance and unlocking hidden value, not just helping companies grow, but fundamentally rethinking how they compete in their markets.

About the Role:

The Portfolio Manager will play a key part in overseeing the firm’s investment structures, portfolio administration, and financial management.

Working closely with senior partners and portfolio company management teams, the role will provide both operational and analytical oversight across the investment lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the financial and administrative aspects of portfolio companies
• Oversee investment structures, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
• Liaise with portfolio company teams on management information systems and data integrity
• Support deal teams with investment monitoring, valuations, and performance tracking
• Assist in the coordination of deal-by-deal fundraising and transaction execution
• Ensure robust internal controls and portfolio compliance standards

Requirements;

• An experienced finance professional with a strong grounding in private equity, investment management, or corporate finance, and a hands-on approach to portfolio operations.

• 5+ years of experience in private equity, fund administration, or investment operations
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and investment structures
• Experience working with portfolio management systems or investment monitoring tools
• Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple cross-border investments
• Ability to work in a small team
