DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING - PAPUA NEW GUINEA OPPORTUNITY

I  have been retained by a well-established hotel in Papua New Guinea that are looking to strengthen their team by adding a Director of Engineering.

The Director of Engineering will be responsible for the overall management of the hotel's physical plant and engineering operations, ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe, and efficient.

This role involves overseeing maintenance, repairs, and renovations, managing budgets, and supervising engineering staff.

A bit about the role, but not limited to:

• Maintaining the hotel building, grounds, and all related equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
• Ensuring the hotel meets all safety and security standards, including fire safety, emergency procedures, and compliance with local regulations.
• Developing and managing the engineering department's budget, controlling expenses, and tracking capital expenditures.
• Hiring, training, and supervising engineering staff, delegating tasks, and conducting performance evaluations
• Implementing and overseeing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize breakdowns and extend the life of equipment.

Ideal candidate: 

• Previous Marriot hotel experience
• 7-10 years expereince with 3 year in a Director position
• ability to lead and manage a team
• remote island experience 

Salary package: USD5000 - 7000 net + accommodatio, flights per year, visa, medical, food and beverage allowance, visa (not negotiable above this bracket)
