Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Burton upon Trent

Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum (DOE) + Performance Bonuses

Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to work for one of our Children’s Residential homes based in Burton upon Trent.

We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager to lead and inspire a team, ensuring children and young people receive the highest quality care, positive role models, and a safe, nurturing environment

Duties of a Registered Manager will include:


  • Leading the daily operations of the home, ensuring consistently high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people
  • Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, including audits and Ofsted readiness
  • Recruiting, supervising, and developing a high-performing, motivated care team
  • Taking the lead on safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and staff
  • Building strong working relationships with local authorities, schools, health services, and other stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement and development across the home and organisation
  • Managing rotas, budgets, and regulatory requirements efficiently
  • Responding flexibly to the needs of the home, including varied shifts or sleep-ins if required
  • Contributing to care planning, risk assessment, and safeguarding procedures
  • Supporting with on-call duties

In order to be considered for the role of Registered Manager:


  • Recent experience working within a Children’s Residential Service at Registered Manager level
  • A “Good” or “Outstanding” grade within recent Ofsted inspections
  • Exceptional management & leadership skills with a passion for high-quality care
  • Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children & Young People’s Workforce) – or equivalent
  • Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management – or equivalent

Hours of Work

40-hour contract, 8-hour days over a 7-day period with a mixture of working hours.
