Management Accountant – Publishing | Hybrid (2 days in office)

Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking publishing company with a strong reputation for quality, creativity, and growth.

As they continue to expand their operations, they are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team and support business performance through insightful reporting and analysis.

Role Overview:
This role offers a broad remit across month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting commercial decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis

• 
  

  Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting process

• 
  

  Provide commentary on performance, highlighting risks and opportunities

• 
  

  Work closely with operational teams to monitor costs and support business planning

• 
  

  Reconcile key accounts and maintain accurate financial records

• 
  

  Assist in year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting

• 
  

  Drive improvements in reporting processes and financial systems

Candidate Profile:

• 
  

  ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified

• 
  

  Experience in management accounting, ideally within media, publishing or related sectors

• 
  

  Strong Excel and financial modelling skills

• 
  

  Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

• 
  

  Confident communicator, able to liaise with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
