About the Role/School

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a diverse and inclusive primary school in Feltham, Hounslow.

Starting in January 2026, this full-time role involves supporting a child with complex SEND, Autism, and who is non-verbal.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping this pupil thrive both academically and personally.

Job Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:




  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex SEND, Autism, and non-verbal communication needs.




  • Implement personalised learning strategies and contribute to EHCP targets.




  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider staff.




  • Support emotional regulation, communication development, and social interaction.




  • Maintain a positive, nurturing, and structured environment conducive to learning.




  • Assist in creating and adapting resources for the pupil's individual needs.




  • Promote independence and confidence throughout daily school life.





Qualifications/Experience

Ideal experience for an SEN Teaching Assistant includes:




  • Previous experience working with SEND, Autism, or non-verbal pupils (preferred but not essential).




  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.




  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.




Essential Requirements:




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK
