Workshop Supervisor – PSV Garage

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our PSV garage in Bolton.

This is a non-hands-on, office-based position, offering an excellent salary of £45,000 and the opportunity to take a leading role in the day-to-day running of a busy commercial workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and coordinate all workshop operations from an office-based role
- Oversee job planning, scheduling, and technician allocation
- Monitor workshop efficiency, job turnaround times, and quality standards
- Liaise with engineers, operations teams, and management to ensure vehicle availability
- Ensure compliance with DVSA regulations, service documentation, and maintenance schedules
- Conduct performance reviews and support staff development
- Handle parts ordering, warranty claims, and supplier coordination as needed

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a PSV, HGV, or commercial vehicle workshop environment
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, vehicle compliance, and workshop KPIs
- Experience in a supervisory, foreman, or workshop controller role
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Good working knowledge of industry software systems (e.g., R2C, AssetWorks, etc.) is advantageous
- Relevant technical qualifications are beneficial but not essential for this office-based role
