Resettlement Worker
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM.
Temporary cover is required for approximately 3 months (until the end of March 2026).
In this position, you will be required to:
- Hold a caseload of key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in person centred Support Plans with the client taking an active role in identifying the areas of support and how to meet their needs
- Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments and risk management plans
- Agree goals with each client which are achievable, time measured and support the individual in rebuilding their life away from the street
- Assist service users to develop life skills and partake in meaningful occupation activities to promote increased independence and involvement with the community
- Help clients maximise their income and offer practical support around independent living skills such as; paying rent, setting up and managing utilities, liaising with landlords and other agencies
- Link clients in with local support services and key agencies relevant to their circumstances to create a tailored support network
- Provide flexible housing related support to vulnerable rough sleepers to enable individuals to move on into the Private Rented Sector and to set up and maintain their own accommodation independently and safely
- Minimise risk to clients by identifying, reporting and following up any safeguarding concerns
- Build and develop collaborative networks within the rough sleeping sector
- Proactively liaise, communicate and negotiate with internal and external specialists and external agencies in order to maximise client support services, resources and funding
To apply for this role candidates must have;
- Experience of managing complex and/or difficult situations in relation to vulnerable adults.
- Understanding of the principles underlying a quality service, and proven ability to empower service users
- Experience of working within a strengths and recovery based model in order to proactively engage and motivate clients to move towards an appropriate level of independence and inclusion
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload of clients, including being self motivating, have excellent time efficiency, the ability to prioritise different areas of work according to need
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to effectively liaise with a range of service providers or agencies in order to establish or improve services for clients.
- Good standard of computer literacy to input data accurately, communicate effectively through emails and produce good quality minutes and records of meetings, client interaction and letters
- Rate: £15 - £16 per hour
