Senior Care Assistant – Residential Care Home (Weston-super-Mare)

Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care home in Weston-super-Mare for an experienced and committed Senior Care Assistant.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a senior care professional to take on added responsibility within a supportive team, helping to deliver high standards of care to elderly residents.

Hours:

·       Average 24 hours per week on a weekly rota

·       Alternate weekend working required

·       Shift patterns: 08:00–14:00 and 14:00–20:00

·       On-call responsibilities shared between the senior team

Pay Rate:

·       £14.25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

·       Supporting the day-to-day running of the home alongside management

·       Leading shifts and supervising care staff

·       Administering medication in line with training and policies

·       Ensuring high standards of person-centred care at all times

·       Acting as a senior point of contact for staff, residents, and families

·       Maintaining accurate care documentation and contributing to care planning

Requirements:

·       Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader

·       Medication trained

·       Experience within elderly residential care

·       QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards this qualification

·       Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

·       A compassionate and professional approach to care
