An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Greenford, Ealing from April 2026.
This full-time Reception Class Teacher position is ideal for an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality Early Years education and making a meaningful difference in children's lives.
This 1-2 form entry, ‘Good' school nurtures a vibrant and inclusive community of capable, determined young learners who are prepared to engage confidently with the wider world.
The curriculum is broad and balanced, offering rich learning across core subjects and creative areas, while promoting strong values and a supportive environment.
The successful Reception Class Teacher will join a collaborative team of professionals who are committed to maintaining high standards and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
As a Reception Class Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering curiosity, independence and a love of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Job Responsibilities
As a Reception Class Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons in line with the EYFS framework
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, ensuring appropriate support and challenge
Work closely with support staff to meet the needs of all children
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Contribute positively to the wider school community
Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
This Reception Class Teacher role offers the opportunity to shape young learners' first experiences of school and establish strong foundations for future success.
Qualifications/Experience
The ideal Reception Class Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within EYFS (including placements for ECTs)
A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment procedures
Excellent classroom management skills
A nurturing and proactive approach
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
Right to work in the UK
