We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive three-form-entry primary school in Hayes on an ad-hoc basis starting ASAP.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will work across Nursery to Year 6, covering whole classes and supporting pupils in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum while helping to promote reading, communication skills and resilience.

Job Responsibilities

The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will:




  • Deliver planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher




  • Support pupils across Nursery to Year 6, adapting learning to meet individual needs




  • Provide targeted support to small groups and individuals




  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school's high expectations




  • Work collaboratively with teachers and senior leaders




  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment




The ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be confident leading whole-class sessions and flexible in adapting to different year groups on an ad-hoc basis.



Qualifications/Experience


  • Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in a primary setting




  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills




  • A proactive and adaptable approach




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK
