Social Care Leader

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting a Social Care Leader on behalf of a well-established residential childcare provider located in Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social care professional to step into a leadership role within a therapeutic residential setting for young people.

Role Overview

The Social Care Leader provides shift leadership and supports the management team in delivering high quality, trauma informed residential care.

The successful candidate will guide staff on shift, ensure care plans are implemented, and promote best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate staff on shift
• Implement care, placement and crisis management plans
• Support young people’s daily care, education and development
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Liaise with social workers and external professionals
• Ensure HIQA and safeguarding standards are met
• Support and mentor team members

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience with children/young people
• Experience supporting complex and challenging needs
• Leadership or senior social care experience
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without the need of sponsorship.
• Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)
