Refurbishment Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Refurbishment Estimator to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role is ideal for someone with 10+ years' experience estimating refurbishment and fit out projects, covering both internal and external works across London.

Location: East London (Office based, travel to West London sites as required - travel paid)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum
Work Hours: 8:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for refurbishment and fit out projects

• Estimate internal refurbishment works including structural alterations, steelwork, partitions, finishes, and full fit out packages

• Price external refurbishment works including stone replacement and restoration, brick restoration, roofing works, and window repairs

• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to produce accurate and competitive tenders

• Assess labour, material, plant, and subcontractor costs across all elements of refurbishment

• Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to clarify project requirements and obtain competitive quotations

• Maintain accurate tender documentation and cost breakdowns

• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required

• Report directly to directors and collaborate with the wider estimating team

Requirements:

• 10+ years' experience as an Estimator within refurbishment and fit out

• Strong experience pricing both internal and external refurbishment projects

• Broad knowledge across multiple trades, from structural steelwork through to final finishes

• Experience working on London-based projects

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities

• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office

This role would suit an estimator with a broad refurbishment background, capable of pricing full-scope projects rather than specialising in a single trade.
