Welder Fabricator

A specialist steel fabrication and engineering firm based in Pontypool, Torfaen is currently seeking a permanent Welder Fabricator to join their HQ team.

This is a workshop-based role focusing on the delivery of high-quality structural and bespoke fabrication projects.

Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £17.50 - £21.55 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 40 hours per week (07:00 - 16:00 Mon-Thu | 07:00 - 14:00 Fri)
Contract: Permanent

Key Duties:

• Welding all positions MAG/Flux Core


• Carrying out high-standard welding and fabrication on structural and bespoke steel projects.


• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure precision delivery.


• Working efficiently to meet project timelines and quality standards.


• Maintaining a safe and organized workshop environment.

Overtime Rates:

• 41 - 50 hours: Time and a half (x1.5).


• 51+ hours: Double time (x2.0).


• Frequent overtime is available for those looking to maximize earnings.

Requirements:

• Proven industry experience in welding and fabrication.


• Valid industry-standard welding qualifications (Essential).


• Strong technical ability and attention to detail.


• Reliable and looking for a long-term permanent move.
